This small Yamut rugs are being woven by the Turkman nomadic tribes, which live in the regions between Northern Persia, Caspian Sea, Uzbekistan and Afghanistan. The Yamut rugs and carpets are woven with a woollen or cotton warp. They are dense and meticulously woven from materials of excellent quality. Most of the Yamut rugs have a thin and low pile. Their colours are red, including different tones of red. Their motifs are repeated octagons surrounded by many bordures.
The colours of the rug look different depending on the angle from which you look at it.
